Apply to Honors as a current Temple student or transfer student

The Honors Program application is for transfer students applying to the university and current Temple students who would like to be considered for the Honors Program. Honors admission decisions are equally determined by your cumulative GPA and by the quality of the essays you provide. Please submit well-constructed, personally insightful essays that demonstrate your writing prowess and share your passions in and out of the classroom.

Applications to join in Spring 2027 are now open!

The application closes on Monday, December 7th and no applications will be accepted after this date.

Applying as a Current Student

For current Temple students, applications are reviewed on a semesterly basis and admissions decisions are made after final Temple grades are posted in either December or May. Please allow up to three weeks after that date for decisions. If accepted, you will attend an Honors orientation hosted by the program staff and they will work with you to add an Honors course of your choice. Decisions will be sent to students once final grades from this semester have been posted and materials have been reviewed. 

Applying as a Transfer Student

For transfer students applying to Temple from another institution, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Please allow up to four weeks after your apply for decisions. If accepted, you will attend an Honors orientation hosted by the program staff, and they will work with you to include Honors courses in your semester by semester plan.
