Student Profiles

Taylor Forry '24

Dover, PA

Hi friends! My name is Taylor (she/her), and I am a sophomore Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience major on the pre-med track with a certificate in American Sign Language. Coming from the small, rural town of Dover, Pennsylvania, I was looking to attend college in a large city, filled to the brim with diversity and opportunity. Temple University offered just this: a university in an urban setting with a huge student population stemming from all over the globe. Furthermore, as a hopeful pre-med student, I was looking for the availability of research and medical shadowing. Temple, with its own hospital system and medical school, presented endless opportunities for me to build my portfolio for medical school. Last year, I was able to conduct remote research with a professor from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, and this year, I will be volunteering with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the American Red Cross. Apart from health-related pursuits, I am involved in the Temple University Diamond Marching Band, the OWLchestra, the Biology Society, and Talking Hands (ASL Club), and you can always find me city-exploring or making music here on campus. I am also a proud Peer Advisor for the College of Science and Technology’s advising office and a Peer Leader for CST’s first-year seminar course. I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to provide prospective students with a look into the incredible community that is Temple Honors. Do not be afraid to introduce yourself, and please reach out with any questions! GO OWLS!
