Hi! My name’s Adiba (she/her), and I’m a senior majoring in Economics on the Pre-Med track. I chose Temple because it was close to my home in the suburbs and also because of the tight-knit Honors community in a huge, diverse school. The Honors Program, along with Temple as a whole, has brought me so many unique opportunities along with loving friends and faculty I am so grateful for. These opportunities included studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea, performing emphysema research at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, serving as a voice for the student body in Temple Student Government, and competing in intramural basketball. With the support of my friends and advisors, I was even able to start Students Helping Students, a non-profit service organization that fights educational inequity in lower-income Philadelphia schools. Outside of school, I work as a Medical Scribe Ambassador at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and as a Peer Advisor in the Education Abroad Office. If you have any questions regarding the Honors Program, Temple itself, or my experiences, please do not hesitate to reach out! :)
