Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Xin chao moi nguoi! Hello everyone! For those who don't know how to pronounce my name, it's Ann Newyen. Let's say it out loud: ANN NEWYEN - there you go!
Hi, I am Anh Nguyen, a sophomore in Journalism with a big interest in Data Analytics and Infographics.
I took a gap year after high school to travel, work and explore myself. It was the most humbling experience I've ever had.
The journey at Temple has been even more wonderful and rewarding. I found my love for Data Journalism at the School of Media and Communication (SMC), where there are plenty of events that help students navigate their careers. Temple's diversity make me feel comfortable expressing myself and developing my interests. I really like Honors classes for their small class size and discussion style. They make me think, analyze and debate my heart out with my peers. Within that safe zone, our ideas clash, bounce and collide as we learn and grow together.
Prepare yourself to ask a lot of questions. Knowledge will reward curiosity.

In my downtime, I am a Student Ambassador at SMC, here for your guided tour; a Communication intern at Kornberg School of Dentistry, here for you and your dentist's liaison; an RA at Morgan North, here for your lockout emergency; and an improv novice, here to make fun of myself.
