Hi, my name's Natalie and I'm a freshman Global Studies major on the Global Security track. I'm also double minoring in Religion and Criminal Justice. My hometown is West Mifflin, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh. I love the Steel City, but I chose to make the move to Philly because of Temple's reputation for having outstanding faculty and because of how accessible research and internship opportunities are here. I made the right choice - having approachable and passionate professors who know my name and post-graduation plans has made all the difference in adjusting to college courses and figuring out my majors/minors/career path. For me, the best part about Honors is how students in Honors classes interact. Outside of class, I'm usually mentoring (or just playing kickball with) some amazing kids here in North Philly through the DREAM Program, serving on Morgan Hall South's Community Council as the Advocacy Representative, planning my study abroad trip to London, or cheering on the Steelers and Penguins (hey, some things never change!). If you're interested in any of the academic programs or extracurriculars I mentioned, or just want to hear more about Temple or Philadelphia in general, please contact me!
